On April 20, 2021, the Ninth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award ceremony was grandly held in Nanshan, Shenzhen. The event was jointly organized by the Shenzhen Copyright Association, Shenzhen Press Group, and Shenzhen Broadcasting Corporation. Nearly 200 participants from Tencent Research Institute, Shenzhen Guoxin South Intellectual Property Research Institute, the judicial community, the creative cultural industry, and member units of the Shenzhen Copyright Association attended the event.

At the ceremony, leaders from the China Copyright Association, the Copyright and Printing Management Division of the Provincial Propaganda Department, the Publication and Film Division of the Municipal Propaganda Department, the Intellectual Property Protection Division of the Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration, and the association presented trophies and certificates of honor to the award-winning units and individuals. This was in recognition of their outstanding contributions in overcoming the pandemic, surmounting difficulties, and innovating in the creation, utilization, protection, and management of copyrights in 2020.

This year's Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award selected a total of 30 awards across five categories: 10 "Copyright Works Gold Awards," 2 "Annual Copyright Registration Title Awards," 3 "Copyright Utilization Gold Awards," 5 "Copyright Protection Gold Awards," and 10 "Excellent Copyright Manager Awards." Among the winners were influential media companies, internet giants, seasoned and stable "veterans," as well as innovative and risk-taking "new waves." In this special year of 2020, they not only withstood the pressures of the economic market and changes in international relations but also created new opportunities in crises and opened new situations in changing landscapes, demonstrating their hard and soft power in spirit and vitality.

2020 marked the 40th anniversary of Shenzhen. Among the award-winning works of the Ninth Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award, those praising and commemorating Shenzhen stood out. The creators, filled with deep affection, documented Shenzhen's 40 years of development in books, composed songs, and engraved their sentiments on porcelain. The "Shenzhen Sentiments" porcelain series by Shenzhen Stagao Porcelain Art Co., Ltd., is a tribute to the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. The gilded pioneering ox on the teapot knob, the bougainvillea on the cup handle, and the Dapeng bird design on the lifting beam and saucer all highlight Shenzhen's spirit of hard work, selfless dedication, and pioneering reform and opening up. This work stood out among hundreds of entries at the "Shenzhen Special Zone 40 Years·2020 Shenzhen Arts and Crafts Creative Competition," winning the top Special Gold Award and becoming the designated porcelain for Shenzhen Entrepreneurs' Day.

Author Zhang Liming's book "Forky - Growing with Shenzhen" tells the story of the protagonist Forky, who experienced the successive events in Shenzhen after the reform and opening up and grew alongside the city. Since its release, the work has received widespread social recognition and has been extensively reported by nearly 50 media outlets across the country. "Strive and You Are a Shenzhener" offers a fresh perspective, capturing Shenzhen's unique international charm through the eyes of a foreign rapper who has lived in Shenzhen for eight years and loves the city. It showcases the city's international, inclusive, and vibrant nature to domestic and international audiences.

The companies that won the Annual Copyright Registration Title Award with their original copyright works registration volume are Shenzhen Yun Chuang Clothing Design Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Weiyi Clothing Co., Ltd.

The Copyright Utilization Gold Award is presented to entities, groups, and individuals who actively leverage copyright resources, promote the distribution and dissemination of copyright works, convert copyright resources into social wealth, realize the market value of copyright works, promote the formation of the copyright industry chain, and generate significant economic and social benefits. The winners of this award are "Flying Songs in Pengcheng" by Shenzhen Broadcasting Corporation, "ZTE GoldenDB Distributed Database Software" by ZTE Corporation, and "问道 Mobile Game" by Shenzhen Thunder Information Technology Co., Ltd.

Intellectual property judicial protection is an essential and indispensable force in the intellectual property protection system. Behind this, there are copyright teams and industry elites who actively engage in the copyright protection industry, and they deserve our respect.

The Copyright Protection Gold Award was presented to Zhang Qingchen from the Nanshan District People's Court of Shenzhen, Yang Jie from the Nanshan District People's Procuratorate of Shenzhen, Chen Lingling from the Futian District People's Court of Shenzhen, the Intellectual Property Division of the Nanshan Supervision Bureau of the Shenzhen Market Supervision Administration, and Shenzhen Xunlei Network Technology Co., Ltd., all of whom are truly deserving.

The "Excellent Copyright Manager Award" was given to ten seasoned copyright professionals: Huang Jie from Tencent Music Entertainment Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., Zhang Yongcong from Shenzhen Dianmao Technology Co., Ltd., Ye Xiaomin from Shenzhen Longshi Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Zhang Wei from Shenzhen Xunlei Network Technology Co., Ltd., Luo Xiaowu from Shenzhen Kainda Jewelry Co., Ltd., Xu Haojian from Shenzhen Aik Space Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Chen Zhen from Shenzhen Tongdao Dada Culture Communication Co., Ltd., Zhang Shunyan from Shenzhen Lutong Network Technology Co., Ltd., Liu Xiangling from Shenzhen Yun Chuang Clothing Design Co., Ltd., and Gao Chongfei from Shenzhen Zhongyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. The "Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award," with a history of nine years, is a professional award in the Shenzhen copyright field and the only professional and industry-specific copyright gold award in Guangdong Province. It is a benchmark annual event in the copyright community. The Shenzhen Copyright Association hopes to provide high-quality copyright services for enterprises and rights holders and to organize the Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award event well.
