The People's Mediation Committee of Shenzhen Municipality for Copyright Dispute
The People's Mediation Committee for Copyright Disputes of Shenzhen Municipality (referred to as the "Mediation Committee"), under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice and with the approval and filing of the Futian District Bureau of Justice in Shenzhen, was initiated by the Shenzhen Copyright Association. It was established on September 2, 2014, as the first industry-specific and professional people's mediation organization in the field of intellectual property in Shenzhen. The establishment of the Mediation Committee aims to resolve copyright disputes, alleviate the pressure on judicial and administrative authorities in handling intellectual property cases, improve the dispute resolution mechanism for copyright issues, promote the development of the copyright industry, and contribute to social stability and harmony. It also supports Shenzhen's efforts to become a national model city for copyright protection.

Achievements and Honors
1.Since its establishment, the Mediation Committee has handled over 2,400 dispute cases, with an increasingly diverse range of case types. The total amount of successfully mediated cases has reached approximately 6 million yuan. During this period, the committee has accumulated extensive mediation experience and a good reputation. It has always adhered to the principles of public welfare and professionalism, earning the trust of rights holders and becoming the preferred choice for non-litigation resolution of copyright disputes.
2.Currently, the Copyright Association has signed a framework agreement for diversified mediation of intellectual property disputes with the People's Courts of Futian, Luohu, Bao'an, Longhua, and Nanshan Districts. It participates in pre-litigation mediation work in the intellectual property courts and is also an invited mediation organization by administrative law enforcement departments such as the China (Shenzhen) Intellectual Property Protection Center, Nanshan Regulatory Bureau, Yantian Regulatory Bureau, and Bao'an Regulatory Bureau.
3.In 2019, the Shenzhen Copyright Dispute People's Mediation Committee was awarded the "Advanced Collective Award for Litigation-Mediation Coordination Work in Shenzhen" by the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Shenzhen Municipal Justice Bureau, and Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court.
4.In 2019, the director of the Mediation Committee, Chen Yan, and the deputy director, Meng Hai, were awarded the banner of "Assisting Judicial Adjudication and Lighting the Lamp of Wisdom" and the badge of Intellectual Property Case Mediation Experts by the Intellectual Property Adjudication Division of Shenzhen Bao'an District People's Court.
5.In 2020 and 2022, the committee was awarded the "Advanced Invited Mediation Organization" by Shenzhen Futian District People's Court.
II. Our Advantages

Currently, the Mediation Committee has hired 55 industry-specific mediators and 2 mediation secretaries. The mediator team includes full-time lawyers, corporate intellectual property managers, university professors, and psychology doctors, among other professionals. Faced with diverse disputes from various industries, they apply targeted mediation skills, upholding the principles of fairness, impartiality, and professionalism to promote diversified dispute resolution and ensure effective mediation work.

1.Proof of Applicant’s Identity
- For Individuals: Copies of identification documents (ID card, military officer’s certificate, Home Return Permit, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, or passport).
- For Corporate Applicants: Provide copies of the business license, a certificate of identity of the legal representative (stamped with both company and personal seals), a power of attorney (click to download attachment) (stamped with both company and personal seals), and copies of the identity documents of both the legal representative and the authorized representative.

Materials relevant to the copyright ownership of the case.
3.Information of the Respondent
Name of the respondent, contact person, contact details, and mailing address.
4.Evidence of Infringement
Materials proving the respondent’s infringing actions.
