The Shenzhen Copyright Society was established in accordance with the requirements of the **Shenzhen Intellectual Property Strategy Outline** and was prepared under the guidance of the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau. It was officially approved by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau in 2006 and began its work. It is a non-profit social organization with legal person status, voluntarily formed by enterprises, institutions, and social organizations in Shenzhen. The purpose and goal of the Copyright Society are to strengthen the research and protection of industries such as film and television, animation, music, software, literature, creative design, and digital content in Shenzhen, to provide copyright social services, to plan the development strategy of related industries, to communicate between the government and enterprises, and to strive for timely and effective policy support from the government for the copyright industry.

The Shenzhen Copyright Society fully utilizes its professional advantages, resources, and capabilities. It has established an "Expert Appraisal Committee," an "Authorization Professional Committee," and an industry-specific "Jewelry Professional Committee." Under the guidance of the Shenzhen Justice Bureau and with the approval and filing by the Futian District Justice Bureau, the first industry-specific and professional copyright people's mediation organization, the "Shenzhen Copyright Dispute People's Mediation Committee," was established in 2014. It provides one-stop, full-growth-cycle copyright professional services such as copyright registration and confirmation of rights, digital filing, electronic evidence solidification, copyright dispute mediation, similarity comparison, copyright protection system construction guidance, rights protection consultation, authorization docking, education and training, awareness enhancement publicity, learning and exchange, and copyright-related legal services for Shenzhen's 20+8 strategic industrial clusters, core copyright industries, related copyright industries, various professional markets, and cultural and creative parks.

The association's office is located in Room 603, Building 6, Shenzhen Bay Technology Eco-Park, Nanshan District, with a total of 14 full-time staff members. The Shenzhen Copyright Society always takes "promoting the development of the copyright cause and assisting the prosperity of the copyright industry" as its responsibility and provides professional copyright services for enterprises.

2、2010, 2015, 2016, 2018: The association received the honors of "Advanced Unit in Guangdong Province Copyright Registration Work" and "Excellent Agency in Guangdong Province."

   

3、2019: The Shenzhen Copyright Dispute People's Mediation Committee received the "Advanced Collective Award for Shenzhen Litigation and Mediation Connection Work" awarded by the Justice Bureau and Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court.

4、The chairman of the Mediation Committee, Chen Yan, and the vice chairman, Meng Hai, received the banner with the inscription "Assisting Judicial Adjudication, Illuminating the Lamp of Wisdom" and the badges of intellectual property case mediation experts, both awarded by the Intellectual Property Adjudication Division of Shenzhen Bao'an District People's Court.

 

5、2020, 2022:The Shenzhen Copyright Dispute People's Mediation Committee received the "Advanced Invited Mediation Organization" award from Futian District Court.

IV. Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award:

Since 2012, with the approval of Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau, the Shenzhen Copyright Society, in conjunction with Shenzhen Press Group and Shenzhen Broadcasting Film & TV Group, has successfully co-hosted eleven sessions of the "Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award" selection activity. This initiative aims to recognize and honor enterprises, institutions, and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in copyright registration, utilization, and protection within Shenzhen's copyright industry, thereby encouraging professionals and businesses in the field to focus on innovation and the effective use of copyrights. The event has been listed as one of the key activities during the Creative December by the Publicity Department of Shenzhen Municipal Committee and has become an important brand activity of the association.

Over the eleven editions of the "Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award" selection activity, numerous well-known enterprises and judicial departments have actively participated. A total of 107 companies and individuals, as well as 158 works, have been awarded prizes and honors. Leaders from relevant departments such as the National Copyright Administration, Guangdong Provincial Copyright Bureau, Shenzhen Intellectual Property Bureau, and Shenzhen Social Organization Administration have frequently attended the awarding ceremonies to present awards to the winners.

Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award Categories: Gold Award for Copyright Works, Gold Award for Copyright Utilization, Gold Award for Copyright Protection, Excellent Copyright Manager Award, and the Annual Leading Copyright Registration Award - these five major awards.

 

Gold Award for Copyright Works

An award established for original works, which require a certain level of innovation in the method of creation and form of content, with positive and uplifting ideological content, wide dissemination, high social recognition, significant economic and social benefits, and a certain market share.

Gold Award for Copyright Utilization

Targeted at enterprises, institutions, social organizations, and individuals who actively utilize copyright resources, employ various methods to promote the distribution and dissemination of copyright works, transform copyright resources into social wealth, realize the market value of copyright works, promote the formation of the copyright industry chain, and generate considerable economic and social benefits.

Gold Award for Copyright Protection

To recognize units or individuals who have demonstrated capability, action, and innovative spirit in copyright protection, contributed to purifying the copyright market environment, regulating market order, and have set typical examples. These entities or individuals have had a significant impact in the copyright and judicial fields, attracting widespread social attention and positive feedback.

Excellent Copyright Manager Award

An individual award for those who have been professionally engaged in copyright work for more than two years and have achieved outstanding results in copyright registration, authorization, and system construction within enterprises.

Annual Leading Copyright Registration Award

An award established for enterprise units. To win this award, an enterprise unit must have a leading number of original copyright work registrations in the current year, significantly promoting the protection and utilization of copyrights within the enterprise and serving as a representative example.

V. Major Milestones of the Association

September 2006: The Shenzhen Copyright Society was established in accordance with the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Strategy Outline.

December 2007: The Shenzhen Copyright Society's TSA Trusted Timestamp Copyright Protection System was the first of its kind to go online nationwide.

April 2010: The association was recognized by the Guangdong Provincial Copyright Bureau as the only copyright grassroots workstation in Shenzhen at that time, as well as one of the first copyright registration agencies.

September 2011: The association initiated the "Shenzhen Copyright Gold Award" selection activity, which is the only professional and industry-specific copyright gold award in the province. It has been held continuously for ten editions and has become an annual benchmark activity in the copyright field.

July 2013: The first evidence of copyright infringement solidified using timestamp technology by our association was accepted by judicial authorities.

September 2014: Initiated the establishment of the first industry-specific and professional mediation organization in the field of intellectual property rights in Shenzhen - the Shenzhen Copyright Dispute People's Mediation Committee.

August 2016: Under the guidance of Shenzhen Arbitration Commission and in conjunction with Shenzhen Civil and Commercial Mediation Center, the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Arbitration and Mediation Center was established.

May 2017: The E-Prevention Mark Original Copyright Protection Platform went online.

October 2018: The association established an Expert Appraisal Committee to provide expert appraisal opinions for various copyright case trials and copyright administrative law enforcement cases.

June 27, 2019: The association, in conjunction with the Guangzhou Institute of Software Application Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Guangdong Zhongke Shishu Technology Co., Ltd., jointly established the "Electronic Evidence Collection Technology and Application Joint Laboratory," providing strong technical support for the solidification of electronic data evidence.

December 26, 2019: With the support of the Nanshan District Administration of Shenzhen Market Supervision and Administration Bureau, the association, together with the Shenzhen Nanshan District Lixiu Fashion Industry Association and the Management Committee of Lixiu Fashion Culture Block, jointly established the Intellectual Property Protection Workstation of Lixiu Fashion Culture Block in Nanshan.

February 2020: The blockchain-based internet electronic evidence preservation platform "E-Certificate Chain" for digital self-service evidence collection went online.

November 13, 2020: The association, in conjunction with the Shenzhen Internet Culture Market Association and the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, jointly released the "Guidelines for Electronic Evidence Collection in Internet Copyright Cases."

April 20, 2021: The Copyright Authorization Work Committee of the Shenzhen Copyright Society was officially established.

December 30, 2021: The 15th-anniversary celebration of the Shenzhen Copyright Society, themed "Hand in Hand for Fifteen Years, Composing a New Chapter Together," was successfully held.

January 6, 2022: The Shenzhen Copyright Society, in collaboration with the Shenzhen Pingshan Notary Office, jointly created blockchain evidence preservation services.

January 14, 2022: The CPC Shenzhen Copyright Society Branch Committee was officially established.

December 2022: The Shenzhen Copyright Society was rated as a 5A-level social organization by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau.

April 2023: The Shenzhen Copyright Society achieved a digital upgrade, launching two social service systems: the Copyright Public Service Platform and the Intellectual Property Asset Management Platform.

April 2024: Led by the Secretariat of the Copyright Society, in-depth research was conducted with nearly 20 jewelry-related member units based on the needs of some enterprises in Shenzhen's jewelry industry, leading to the establishment of the Jewelry Professional Committee of the Shenzhen Copyright Society.

May 2024: The association received the "Top 100 High-Quality Industry Associations and Chambers of Commerce in Shenzhen" title, guided by the Shenzhen Civil Affairs Bureau and Shenzhen Social Organization Administration, and hosted by Shenzhen Special Zone News Agency and Shenzhen Social Organization Federation.
