I. Explanation of Computer Software and Copyright

1、Computer Software: Refers to computer programs and their related documentation.
2、Software Developer: Refers to a legal person or other organization that actually organizes the development, directly engages in the development, and assumes responsibility for the completed software; or a natural person who independently completes the software development relying on their own conditions and assumes responsibility for the software.
3、Software Copyright Holder: Refers to a natural person, legal person, or other organization that enjoys copyright over the software in accordance with the provisions of the Regulations on the Protection of Computer Software.
4、Software that needs to apply for copyright registration must be independently developed by the developer and has been fixed on some tangible object (i.e., it is completed).

II. Effectiveness of Software Copyright Registration Certificate

• When an infringement occurs, the Software Copyright Registration Certificate can serve as one of the pieces of evidence of rights.
• During software copyright trade, the Software Copyright Registration Certificate acts as proof of rights, facilitating the successful completion of transactions.

III. Registration Process

Note: The specific process and requirements for registering an account in the above procedure are as follows:

1、Click the link https://register.ccopyright.com.cn/register.html#/identity to select your identity and start the registration process.
2、Prepare your mobile phone number and email address.

• The mobile phone number is used to receive the authorization code when filling out the application form.
• The email address is used to receive the verification code during the real-name authentication process.

3、Please download the template for the authorization letter.
Fill out the template, print it, affix the seal, and scan it into a JPG format (click to download or download at the end of the document). This is required for uploading during the real-name authentication process.
4、Separate scanned copies of the front and back of your ID card.
These should be in JPG format and include the entire boundary of the document. These are required for uploading during the real-name authentication process.

IV. Required Materials and Precautions for Registration
1、Fill in the sample of the Application Form for Computer Software Copyright Registration as required. (Click to download or download at the end of the document)
2、One electronic copy of the applicant's valid identification document.
Corporate entities should submit a photocopy of the valid business license副本;
Public institutions should submit a photocopy of the valid certificate of legal person for the institution;
Social organizations should submit a photocopy of the valid certificate of legal person issued by the civil affairs department;
Other organizations should submit a photocopy of the proof document issued by the industrial and commercial administration or the civil affairs department;
If the copyright holder is a natural person, a photocopy of the valid ID card (both sides) should be submitted;
3、One software source code file (Word document).
If the total amount of the software's source code exceeds 3000 lines, please provide the first and last 60 pages each, totaling 120 pages; if the total amount of the source code is less than 3000 lines, please provide the entire code.

Design Specification: It must contain detailed software structure diagrams, flowcharts for each function, logic block diagrams, and introduce the overall software design, interface design, module names and functions, function names and functions, algorithms, runtime design, etc.
User Manual: It must contain complete login interfaces and screenshots of operation steps, and the software name, company name, etc., mentioned therein must be consistent with the information in the application form.
5、Individual applicants need to fill in one Non-Work-Related Development Guarantee.
6、If the software is developed on the Linux platform using GCC, a GPL Declaration.doc must be submitted. (Download sample)

V. Processing Time and Fees
Preliminary review period: 1-3 working days to feedback on material issues and complete the preliminary review.
Registration authority: National Copyright Administration of the People's Republic of China
Certificate issuance time: Expedited: about 30 working days (the final time is subject to the issuance of the certificate)
Certificate issuance fee: 1000 yuan per item for member units, 1100 yuan per item for non-member units
Certificate issuance time: Standard: about 3-4 months
Certificate issuance fee: 500 yuan per item for member units, 600 yuan per item for non-member units
